Nowadays there is an continual improvement of different technologies. One of those technologies is called augmented reality, a technology that layers an computer-generated image on the real world view of the user. I wanted to explore this field of augmented reality but more in an analog sense.
Instead of using an computer-generated image of a fictional landscape, I fabricated this landscape as an analog piece that is similar as a lego block. Clickable together into custom made virtual reality glasses. Instead of using closed glasses I kept these open to give you the experience of augmented reality but in an analog way.
You have the ability to use four different landscapes, each with different colours, different structures and made of different materials. After clicking one landscape into the glasses and turning the motor attached to the glasses on, you are able to change the speed of the motor. This motor can regulate the speed of the landscape. When wearing the glasses you just look over the horizon of the landscape and there you will see your real environment. This makes that you feel that you are walking in an endless world.
